USA holds Argentina
0-0 draw was best performance of the 3 friendlies against top competition

Soccer • June 9, 2008

After sub-par performances against Spain and England, the US Men's National Team held Argentina to a 0-0 draw in New York Sunday night.

While this may be an improvement and gives the MNT some confidence going into World Cup qualifiers, they still need to work on being able to compete in Europe against top competition.  Yes, the MNT beat Poland and the Swiss on their home soil, but now I'm waiting for them to take the next step and be competitive with the best of the best in Europe. But that may still be a good 10 years away.
